Construction Process
POOL BACKYARD PLANNING AND CONSTRUCTION PROCESS
1. POOL CONSULTATION
Your individual needs and desires are discussed with one of our Van Dorn Pools and Spas specialists in order to help you select the right pool for you & your family. Once a pool model and size are selected, the backyard planning can begin.
2. BACKYARD PLANNING
At this point, our backyard survey specialists visit your home to determine where the pool will be located. The layout of the pool is marked on the ground.
3. POOL AND DECK DESIGN
You will receive a drawing indicating the location of the pool and the design of the deck in relation to your house, property lines, well & septic.
4. EXCAVATION
The excavation crew will remove the earth from the location of the future pool. Depending on the condition of the site, the removed earth will either be hauled away or spread in a location agreed upon. Fees will apply for either choice.
5. POOL CONSTRUCTION FRAME & LINER
It is at this stage of construction that the pool is built and the liner is installed. The pool water will be added at this point as well.
6. POOL COMPLETED
Your beautiful new pool is complete and ready to enjoy.
7. DECKING COMPLETED
The deck design that you have chosen is installed at this time.
5. INGROUND POOL CONSTRUCTION
It is at this stage of construction that the pool is built and the liner is installed. The pool water will be added at this point as well.
6. INGROUND ELECTRIC
It is at this stage of the construction process that the electrical components, pool equipment, and plumbing fixtures are put into place. The entire system is pressure tested to ensure proper functioning of the system and all components.
7. POOL/CONCRETE DECKING AND FENCE COMPLETED
This is when the form work and the rebar for the concrete are installed. The deck areas surrounding your pool that are used for walking and seating are installed. Decking materials include brushed or stamped concrete.
8. POOL SCHOOL
A Van Dorn Pools & Spas customer service representative will guide each owner through the initial start-up and maintenance of the pool and the equipment system.
